These glasses come with our standard optical plastic lenses. For higher prescriptions and aesthetics you may wish to enhance your glasses by selecting thinner lenses. Thinner lenses also have the benefit of being lighter so they're more comfortable to wear.

Basic
Single Vision: FREE
Our standard optical plastic lenses.
Polycarbonate
Verifocal: £ 85 | Bifocal: £85 | Single Vision: £40
These lenses are the same thickness as our standard thin (1.6) lenses. Polycarbonate lenses are a very strong lens type which, as a higher refractive index material are also slightly thinner.
Thin
Verifocal: £85 | Bifocal: £50 | Single Vision: £40
If your prescription is above 3.00 +/- then we would suggest thinner lenses which are made of a special higher refractive index (1.6) material which reduces the thickness of your glasses making them more attractive to look at and they may even reduce the weight on your nose.
Ultra ultra thin
Single Vision: £85
If your prescription is above 4.00 +/- and you want your slightly stronger prescription to be cosmetically more attractive then we recommend ultra thin lenses. These have a refractive index of 1.67.
Single Vision: £135
These are one of the thinnest optical plastic lenses generally available on the market today, perfect for people with very high prescriptions (+/-6.00), or for anyone who wants very elegant glasses which may be lighter in weight. These have a refractive index of 1.74.

Scratch resistant coating
special offer £10 now £5
No lens material — not even glass — is scratch-proof. However, a lens that is treated front and back with a clear, hard coating does become more resistant to scratching. This means you will save money in the long run by not having to replace your lenses as often.
Anti-reflective
+ £15
Standard optical plastic lenses transmit only about 91% of light to the eye. The rest is lost to front and back surface reflections. However, a revolutionary treatment developed to reduce reflections from camera lenses is now available for eyeglass lenses. Anti-reflective lenses transmit more light which provides improved night vision, decreased computer glare, reduced eye strain, less overhead fluorescent glare and great looking glasses.
UV400 protective coating
+ £10
Just as we use sunscreen to keep the sun's UV rays from harming our skin, UV treatment in lenses blocks those same rays from damaging our eyes, giving you the “peace of mind” that you are providing your eyes the maximum protection. Overexposure to ultraviolet light is thought to be a cause of cataracts, retinal damage and other eye problems.
